The problem
Trades buyers screen for risk before they screen for price. A property manager handing over keys to a building wants to know the business is insured, contactable, and still going to exist in six months. A homeowner wants to know somebody else has used them.
Scope had the track record and none of the proof online. Competing quotes came in from businesses with no website at all, which sounds like an advantage until you realise the client is choosing between two things they cannot verify.
What we did
We built the site around evidence. Real photographs of completed jobs rather than stock imagery. The service areas named as suburbs, because a property manager in Onehunga wants to see Onehunga. Insurance, qualifications and response times stated as facts rather than implied.
The quote request asks for a photo. A trades quote built from a description is a guess, and a photo turns a twenty-minute site visit into a two-minute reply, which is the difference between winning the job and being third to respond.
Everything is structured for local search: LocalBusiness schema, service pages per trade, and content that names the suburbs the business actually covers.
Where it landed
Scope launched with a site that does the screening work before the first call, which shortens the conversation and filters out the jobs that were never going to be a fit.
The build itself moved fast. The client asked for the site and had it live within days, which suited a business that had put the job off for two years because it sounded like a project.
“Kage Works delivered our website within a few days of requesting their services. Lightning-fast, and very easy to talk to.”
